The first night we got to see three bears and enjoyed our morning, tea and breakfast on the beautiful deck. Nothing beats this view!

The first was five years ago and the cabin has remained in good shape and is well maintained. Randa was a great host providing emails with great options for exploring this beautiful area. Cozy Cove Cottage Posted: Oct 7, 2022 The Cosy Cove Cottage is great place to stay. We go salmon fishing every Oct in Haines and stay at the cottage. It is clean and very comfortable. Awesome view of the ocean. Occasionally bears as well. When they wander through the yard. I would recommend anyone coming to Haines for a visit. To book the cottage.

Cozy Cove: Beautiful view Posted: Jun 10, 2022 We had a wonderful time at this cottage. It was perfect for us, my 86 yr old father was able to sleep downstairs and have easy access to the restroom. The view was absolutely breathtaking. We we able to see eagles, whales and sea otters. We even saw several bear three days in a row. Lake Chilkoot is just around the corner. It was private and quiet. If we ever return to Haines, we will definitely be staying here again.

Cozy Cove Cottage Posted: Sep 6, 2021 This rental home is perfect for us. So homey and comfortable. Love the remoteness, but close proximity to the state park. We'd go there several times a day just to watch the bears. What an amazing place it is that you call home. You're very lucky to be surrounded by this beauty 24/7/365. Jealous! We hope to visit Haines again sometime in the near future and Cozy Cove will be our #1 choice for sure.

Cozy Cove Cottage Posted: Aug 4, 2021 This private, secluded cabin is perfect if you want to get away from it all and experience an almost-off-grid Alaskan adventure without need for a boat or plane. Especially enjoyed watching the locals subsistence fish in the marine inlet just off the front deck.

Cozy Cove Cottage Posted: Oct 18, 2019 Cozy Cove cottage was everything we were hoping for and more. We have stayed in a few short term rentals in the Haines area and this was amongst the best. The view of the inlet and surrounding mountains are wonderful. The kitchen is extremely well appointed with everything you could think of so that guests can cook to their heart's content. The two bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. The cottage was clean throughout, smelled good, and had all the space we needed for two couples (bathrooms, dining area, living room with tv). The wifi worked flawlessly. Randa, the property manager, was courteous and her responses were always prompt. She also granted us a late check-out which was greatly appreciated. As a heads up to other guests, the driveway to access the cottage is very rough and almost requires an AWD/4X4 vehicle. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend Cozy Cove cottage to other guests. We will be back for sure.

Cozy Cove Cottage Posted: Aug 20, 2019 We fell in love with this place. It is so peaceful and in an amazing spot right outside of Haines. It was perfect for our family of 4. It was so cozy and had everything we needed. The windows are amazing and you feel that you are in a tree house. We loved watching the grizzly out front making his/her way around the shoreline! Randa was so attentive and we will hopefully be back for longer!!!

Randa was lovely to work with and the location was far enough from town to be quiet but close enough to be there when needed. Fishing was great for us we caught pinks Sockeye Dolly Varden all blocks from our house!!! Bears we few only 1 seen but we enjoyed seeing him as that is why you come to Alaska!!!!

Cozy Cove Cottage:A Once in a lifetime experience! Posted: Jul 20, 2019 I had the pleasure of staying here for a week. It is everything you have always thought Alaska could be and more! You can wake up each morning in total peace and quiet as you are the last place at the end of the road. Wildlife abounds. While here I could observe what I call our daily Eagle couple close enough to view through your camera. While here I saw within the inlet: eagles, king fishers, ducks, a mother whale and her baby, and the topper was an adult Grizzly bear within 50 yards of the deck who could care less about our presence and was concerned with the blueberries on the bushes. The cabin is well furnished with: Direct Tv/wifi/telephone, washer/dryer, on demand tank-less water heater, and more. There are two bedrooms with queen size beds and a sofa sleeper. There is also a full kitchen and dining area. It's located only 10.5 miles from Haines and is close to Chilkoot Lake.

The home was fully equipped with everything one needed to feel like they were at home. We saw all sorts of wildlife and there is an amazing view from almost every room in the house, we’ll be back for sure!!!!

Cozy Cove Cottage: What an experience Posted: Aug 12, 2018 Haines was our favorite stay on our Alaska vacation. The cottage was excellent. Breathtaking views of the inlet. We could see bears cross the area in front of the cottage, sea lions in the ocean, and plentiful bald eagles. Very nice and clean and spacious. Randa was great to deal with. Convenient location to Chilkoot river and lake. Lots of wildlife to see in both areas. Highly recommended.

The house includes all of the amenities you might need including satellite TV and high speed Internet. I am on a working vacation so the Internet was a welcome amenity. Randa replied to all questions quickly and was very friendly.

We saw the mother and cubs 4 different times in the yard and saw 3 other bears there too. It was a wonderful experience and the house made our visit very enjoyable. We enjoyed Haines. We loved the small town. We did some hiking but many trails were too hard for me, so we walked in town and at the harbor. I also want to thank you and the owners for the treats that were left!

Yesterday at about 7 pm the mother bear with her two cubs came round the corner and went across the meadow towards the shore. A great moment for us, we stayed in the kitchen and could watched her.

Cozy Cove Cottage: Excellent getaway spot Posted: Jun 24, 2017 The cottage was clean, comfortable and wonderful. It's at the end of a long road then at the end of the trail. Secluded. If you're planning on spending a lot of time downtown then maybe stay somewhere closer but if you're spending time with friends or family then this place is perfect. Beautiful deck, lots of living space and a well stocked kitchen. Comfortable beds. Great views. I'd definitely stay there again. No complaints whatsoever.

Cozy Cove Cottage: A Lovely House in Haines! Posted: May 19, 2017 This home is beautiful and has everything you need for a vacation getaway in Haines. The location is private and secluded and there are grizzlies and eagles right at your very own section of the ocean! Good beachcombing beach but not for swimming or chair lounging. The home has satellite Tv, two nice sized upstairs bedrooms and pull out sofas on the main floor. Kitchen is well equipped. Could have used dish cloths and dish towels which we couldn't find. There is a nice wood stove as well as a toya oil stove and there is free wood for you to use. This place is well out of town so if you don't mind daily drives into Haines you will love it! It is super private. Beds are very comfortable and the duvets, comforters, sheets and pillows are very nice. There is a waffle maker which was a really nice treat! As well as a gas stove which I loved using as I don't have one....house was spotless, you could eat off the floor. Nice outside deck. House needs to have a fully stocked first aid kit.
