Ripinski Retreat: Sept 20-23 Haines Visit Posted: Sep 24, 2023 We had a lovely stay in Haines. It was a vacation / work trip on my part and full vacation on my family's. The view is beautiful from the deck and south facing windows when the weather cooperates. The rental itself was all we needed. The large mud room / laundry room was very much welcome for hanging up rain gear to dry. The host at the very beginning of the reservation was always reaching out asking if we needed anything during our visit to Haines. Highly recommended.

Wonderful location - cozy home! Posted: Dec 30, 2022 We had a great winter break at Ripinsky retreat - it was so cozy when we arrived, complete with Christmas lights and a Christmas tree. We felt very much at home, and it was great that we could have our dog with us on vacation. When the clouds finally lifted, the view from the living/dining room was amazing! The kitchen was well-stocked, and the house was very warm and cozy - we will definitely be back!

It's near town in a quiet neighborhood, easy to get to, nice view, and had lots of nice touches. The owners live next-door and are very kind and helpful. They've decorated with local and Alaskan art, and left lots of info on what to do in Haines. The kitchen was well stocked, includes washer dryer, and basically had everything we needed. Couldn't have asked for a better place. Highly recommended.

Ripinski Retreat is Awesome! Posted: Aug 6, 2018 I was very impressed with everything at the Ripinski Retreat and I would definitely recommend it to other travelers. We were two couples looking for a place to sleep and eat in between day trips around Haines and we were really impressed with everything at this house. Everything was exactly as described and the view from the deck and front windows was better than expected. Everything was set up for travelers: soap, towels, spices & other kitchen basics were provided. We even had brownies waiting for us when we arrived! The house is about a 2-3 minute drive (about 10-12 minute walk) from the IGA and the main street in town with several bars and restaurants (tip for other travelers: everything in Haines closes at around 8pm in the summer so plan ahead if you want to get groceries, etc.).

The views of the mountains from the living/dining room were incredible. The location was perfect. The owners were very welcoming and helpful but also gave us privacy. Everything was set up perfectly inside and easy for us to be there. In the morning our car was covered in snow and the owner even cleared our driveway and car. The views from the living room on a clear day are incredible! It is a quiet, comfortable home with everything you could need to enjoy your stay to include a fully-stocked kitchen and washer/dryer. We stayed for only two nights and we didn't want to leave! Highly recommended for anyone who wants to have a relaxing, yet convenient place to stay in Haines. We were in Haines in late November to experience the Chilkat Bald Eagle Preserve, an absolute must-do for anyone who loves nature.

Shannon was an excellent hostess, and even made us brownies! We brought our dog, and there were treats and a doggy bed waiting too! I cannot recommend this place enough. The house is a very clean and well taken care of. Location is close to down town Haines. Recommend to anybody staying in Haines America for anytime at all.

Ripinski Retreat: A peaceful and cozy haven in Haines Posted: Jul 31, 2017 We stayed here as a family of four (two adults and two children) during the Haines State Fair this year. We felt immediately at home as the neighbourhood kids welcomed our children to their awesome tree fort and swing. We've rented several properties through VRBO and this will remain one of our favourites. It's clean, comfortable and well appointed. The view from the living room and deck is outstanding on a clear day. The property is within easy walking distance to Main Street but is tucked just far enough up the hill to keep things nice and quiet. I hope we can come back here.

Ripinski Retreat: Perfect place for a family Posted: Jun 30, 2017 We absolutely loved this place! The view from the window is absolutely gorgeous, the house has everything you need. We had 3 children with us and we had enough space for everybody! The house is nice and cozy. Very comfortable beds. I usually don't sleep very well at hotels but here I slept perfectly well for the whole week we stayed here! Absolutely recommend it!

The eagles, mountains, hiking and ocean make this a place worth visiting. The hosts were fantastic and the place is well taken care of, with lots of little warm touches.

Fishing Getaway Posted: Oct 18, 2016 Ripinski Retreat was the perfect place for our extended family to stay during our Fall fishing weekend. It was equipped with everything we needed to prepare meals, sleep comfortably, and relax after our busy days. The host made sure our stay was as comfortable as possible, right down to the plate of brownies that were waiting for us upon our arrival. We will be coming back for sure! Reservations by Randa was so wonderful to book with. I sent an email stating what we were looking for and the dates we were travelling and she offered us the rental that ended up meeting all of our needs. No fuss, easy transaction and 100% satisfied. Would highly recommend booking a trip to Haines this way.
