Holiday Lettings are now offering the functionality of Synchronizing with external calendars. I have followed instructions ie. Copying iCal URL from my Property Setup page, but am receiving an error message.

"An error has occurred
•Please enter a valid URL for this calendar type"

I have several properties that I would like to Sync with BV, so would appreciate some advice.

Interesting. Deborah do you know how to do "screen grabs", or "screen captures"? It would help if we could see the screens in your Holiday Lettings account.

Also, the note seems to indicate that there is a problem with the URL itself, so just to make sure, here is the URL to use (this one is for AL 186):

http://www.bookerville.com/CalendarDisplayICal?property=2644

So double-check that the URL you're using is Ok (perhaps paste it here so we can confirm for you).

If it's still not working, please put us in contact with your tech support at Holiday Lettings and we will be happy to work with them to figure out what's happening.

I think this is good news though, that Holiday Lettings is now willing to do this. Aren't they owned by Homeaway?

John, have taken a screen grab, but sending it you you is another matter,
Cant use AL 186 as yet, new client. I've been trying with PM52. This is the URL I used for PM 52;

It looks as if they are requesting a URL ending with .ics.

Holiday Rentals.co.uk is part of Homeaway as is Owners Direct.co.uk. Holiday Lettings is part of TripAdvisor. So yes its really good and even better if I can Sync Calendars, potential for a lot more clients for me.

Oh, you know what, that might be it. Silly they would require the ".ics" suffix, but anyway it's easy enough to fix.

Can you try this URL instead:

http://www.bookerville.com/CalendarDisplayICal-1426.ics

Already tried that. Still not working. Also tried typing all in lower case. No Luck.

URLs are case-sensitive, so it would need to be exactly as displayed (above).

So you tried the .ics version?

All properties are now syncing with Holiday Lettings. Great, this has made life so much easier and enabled my to offer Rental Management to other property owners also using Holiday Lettings as a Rental portal. Thanks for all your help.
