the wife and, I had a great weekend for her birthday. really relaxing, and cozy . thank you guys for helping me out at the last minute with making my reservation. it was the best surprise! she never expected it. we can't wait to spend time with you guys again. Thanks

Short visit

Nick greeted me graciously, but as I arrived around noon, he told me he would call when my cabin was ready. I waited more than two hours and he never called. The maintenace people finally let me in when I asked if they were going to prepare my room and they shared that nothing had needed to be done to prepare my room. Nick did come to get my TV working. I never received the flowers I requested that the website advertised as available. Nick also brought and stacked firewood for me. I decided not to light a fire as I was concerned that with such low humidity it would be a fire hazard. Upon check out, the woman at the desk generously printed directions for my drive home.

Cabin was very nice. Cabin was dated but very well kept. New tub/tile in bathroom. We stayed there for our yearly motorcycle rally and cabins were pretty nice. Prices were a bit high so it was unfortunate that not all riders stayed there.
But for the most part it was a great place and management was there for everything we needed. The only thing that would have been much better is if there were more tables and chairs in the grassy area. It would have kept all of us in one spot as most hung out in deferent areas and our big event had to be move to another location due to not enough seating.

Everything was exactly as advertised. We had a great stay between Christmas and New Years. We will be back.

The cabin was clean and spacious. The grounds were nice to walk my dog. I would stay there again.

Buck Studio Stay

We had a wonderful time at the Grey Squirrel Resort. We found the Buck Studio to be a very comfortable room. Loved that it was right across from the play area. My daughter and I made good use of that play area. Appreciated the options for activities; the volleyball court and screen tent with the ping pong and and foosball. We found the resort grounds to be beautiful. Staff was always courteous and helpful. We stayed during an exceptionally hot week in June. With no air, though using the fan, the studio did get uncomfortably warm in the afternoon. However, the pool was great fun and we appreciated the pool toys, noodles and floats provided in addition to the towels. Access to an ice machine would have been helpful due to the high temperatures of the week we stayed. Overall we had a wonderful stay.

Great Stay...

No issues, other than the door stuck slightly when I pushed on the door. Pretty quiet and Internet was good, which is what I needed to get my work done. I enjoyed watching all the sports and relaxing in comfort on the king size bed. That toilet though, I won't go there. :)... I will be heading back up in a few months mostly likely, looking to move to Big Bear. If the situation calls for it I would stay there again.

Nice property and staff

We stayed 2 nights. One in a small studio and then upgraded to a 2 bedroom with full kitchen. The property is great. We were stuck in the snow storm without power and heat for one of the evening's but the staff was so helpful and kind offering extra blankets, and firewood. We had an overall good fun experience, but I can live with a tiny bit of roughing it. I would return to this property.

We realize it was a studio, but it needed soap,etc. It had a microwave,and refrig, but no sink. We also had to go chasing down glasses. It appeared they were just opening the place and were glad we were only on a one night stay. The price was way too high for what was delivered.

We enjoyed our stay. However, the cottage seemed a little run down and needs more lights in the main area, especially by the microwave. Also, our toilet broke while we were there. Not sure if there was a private party going on, but the music was really loud - fortunately, it stopped by 9:00 p.m.
