We've been coming here for years and love this place. The cabin was great, however the floors were dirty so we couldn't go barefoot. Also, some pretty big spiders in the bathroom and kitchen. Otherwise it was a great trip as always.

Our favorite vacation spot. We always have the best time here and we’re always sad to leave! Grey squirrel has the best staff and made us feel so welcome.

We had made our reservations earlier in the year, but due to family health issues had to cancel last minute. Grey Squirrel staff were very understanding and allowed us to reschedule without a penalty. The cabin was clean and well stocked. It is located close enough to drive a short distance to town but far enough away so as not to be crowded. There is a hidden small park .3 miles southeast that allows BBQ, fire pits and has benches for a little picnic and slopes for tubes and sledding in snow. Grey squirrel has hot tub during winter and pool and tub during summer. It has a playground, BBQs, basketball hoop and horseshoes. They kept their access roads cleared during snow. They are pet friendly, and have various packages you can pre-order. Also have free continental breakfast. We are coming back again soon. Thank you Laura for the great stay. My impression was that there was no set schedule for things. The pool got pretty grundgy because no one was checking it daily. Outdoor trash cans got emptied only when there was a complaint, instead of being checked every one or two days. Moose was in the midst of renovations to a cabin, the waterfall and the laundry room. I understand the need for work, but the laundry room had water on the floor even when done. The waterfall was running, but the bridge that connected four cabins including Moose to the rest was not fixed. Each cabin should have a picnic table and at least two outdoor chairs as the grounds are mostly worth sitting and enjoying. We as a family group come to socialize and see local attractions together. Having to get onto the highway before picking up someone was not fun at peak hours. I realize things go missing, but two potholders please. I cook! The cleaners were nice and did a good job. My suggestion is that there be air conditioning. It was very muggy during our stay. Hard to sleep

Visit to Moose cabin

This was our second visit to Moose cabin. Very dog friendly property and people. Nice fireplace, porch and with very heavy snow the staff was out plowing and shoveling every few hours. Our concerns were a few details: three bulbs out
of 4 were burned out in bathroom light (fixed after we ran into owner), bathroom rug dirty, one lamp in living room has no place to be plugged in, bulb in other LR light burned out, many of the blinds were broken. There are new laminate floors that are very nice but not dog friendly. Very slippery for them. All this being said we would surely return.

Couldn't sleep on bed because of very soft mattress. We had to remove memory form cover, but still no good. Need to replace mattress,. Staff was wonderful.

This was my Christmas gift to my daughter and family...........2 nights..........my daughter thought the place should be updated, make it more charming...............they had a wonderful time just be together as a family. Loved driving right up to front door.

We have been staying at Gray Squirrel Resort over twenty years. Except for a little glitch in tidying up our cabin between day 1 and 2, we were quite pleased as always and will definitely return as time permits.

Exceeded our expectations, and we can't wait to come back. Moose cabin was awesome! Large living room, dining room, full kitchen, full bath and king size bedroom with sitting area. Our favorite amenity was the private porch off the living room! Could spend hours there! Love the area and will definitely return ASAP. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Our stay was great as always. We have spent several vacations at this resort and truly enjoy our time there. The only negative comment we have from our stay this year is that the carpet was extremely soiled and dirty and is in extreme need of immediate cleaning.
