Great place! Posted: Oct 21, 2023 We love this place! This is our 3rd year in a row staying here for a girls weekend. Has a lot of room, is walking distance to downtown/shops/bars and has a hot tub. Would definitely recommend. We have never had any issues in the 3 years we've stayed there.

Great Saugatuck Cottage! Posted: Jul 4, 2023 My family of five stayed here for three nights and it was perfect. The cottage is very clean and spacious, and the location was perfect. We loved being able to walk downtown so easily. We also enjoyed the screened-in porch. My one suggestion is that power strips/extension cords be added to the master bedroom - it was impossible to reach the outlets behind the bed.

Weather be darned... Posted: Jun 20, 2023 Despite a very unseasonably cold, windy & grey week - we had the best time in Saugatuck! The Swallow accommodations worked great for our family of 6. The cottage was super clean and had everything we needed and space to spread out. This was our first family vacation since the arrival of our first grandchild so time together was the top priority. We enjoyed the shopping & dining and tried all the major spots...our best dinner was at Everyday People's Cafe - 6 different and delectable meals all prepared to perfection - plus a melt-in-your-mouth tuna tar-tar starter. The kitchen at the Swallow was well-equipped, but with all of the amazing restaurants, we didn't use it much! With the cool temps, the hot tub was a nice way to wind down after all of the walking & shopping each day. Highly recommend a stay at the Swallow - great location to enjoy a fun town with family & friends of all ages.

Perfect Location! Posted: May 6, 2023 This was the perfect spot to relax and enjoy SAUGATUCK. The hot tub was great for the cool evenings. There was plenty of room and the house was comfortable. My only feedback was it needs towel hooks and bars in the front bathroom. Also mirrors in the bedrooms would be nice to get ready to go out.

Girls Trip Posted: May 29, 2022 The location is great. The house is really nice, beds are comfortable and plenty of towels. The hot tub was clean and perfect since the weather was still a little chilly. The only issue we had was that the furnace was not working the first night and it was pretty cold.I called it in and there was a heating repair person there first thing the next morning. They got it working and all was good! I appreciate the quick response. We will definitely rent again!

Girls weekend Posted: Apr 2, 2022 The swallow was perfect for 4 women on a weekend wine and shopping getaway. Great beds, very clean. We loved the open area. Another chair in the kitchen bar area would be helpful. Location is perfect for walking anywhere. Very quiet.

Nice view of the lake. Very easy to get to. Only problem we had is the coffee pot needs to be replaced. Highly recommend this cottage!

Carol Stolarski Posted: Jul 21, 2019 We have been renting the Swallow for several years and enjoy our stay. It is only a blocks walk into town & and is very clean. It has recently been updated and looks great. The only thing it needs is a chest of drawers in the bedrooms to put your clothes and towel racks in the bathrooms. Otherwise, we enjoy our stay each year and the fact we can bring our dog is wonderful. I would recommend it to everyone.

Fantastic night at the Swallow Posted: Aug 16, 2017 The Swallow was very comfortable. We loved the screened-in porch and the hot tub. It was conveniently located with the shops and restaurants within walking distance. It is stocked with cleaning supplies for the kitchen and the attention to detail was much appreciated (they even had needle and thread just in case!). Our teenaged daughter was very happy with the Wi-Fi access.

Great House Posted: Aug 4, 2017 We have been going to Saugatuck for 15 years. We've rented several different houses in town. The Swallow was clean, comfortable and close to town. Beds were comfortable. We really didn't spend a lot of time at the house but I would for sure recommend it to anyone.

Our family has been coming to Saugatuck every summer for more than 20 years and have stayed in each of the Bird Center Cottages. They are clean, close to town and have all of the ammenities one would want for an enjoyable family vacation. Will definately return!

Swallow Stay Posted: Sep 16, 2016 Our girl's weekend getaway at the Swallow was perfect. Check-in process was extremely easy and the location so close to town was super convenient. The house and hot tub were both extremely well taken care of and the decor was adorable (I really want that dog clock). My girlfriends and I all agree we want to make this a yearly trip and book all three of the cottages on sight for a weekend. Thank you so much!

Posted: Oct 8, 2015 Enjoyed our stay very much. House is very conveniently located and well furnished with towels, detergent, linens etc. I did find a few dirty small plates in the cabinet. I washed those, but did not check other dishes. I know that was the fault of the previous occupants. We did find the windows closed, but were unlocked. Did not like that. Also, you need brighter or more lights. Very hard to read in the evening. Would recommend The Swallow and would use it again myself.

Posted: Aug 24, 2015 Great location! Didn't have to drive anywhere except the beach which we never got to because the parking lot fills up early! The house was clean except the floors made our feet black so we wore shoes the whole time we were there. Not a problem unless you have little ones. Overall we had a great time and would stay here again.

Great Girls Getaway Posted: May 3, 2015 We recently spent a few days at the Swallow for a girls getaway weekend. The home could not have been more perfect for us. It was very spacious, clean and comfortable and the location was great, with only a short walk to local restaurants and shopping. We enjoyed spending time relaxing on the sunny patio and the hot tub was wonderful. I would absolutley recommed the Swallow for anyone looking for a great home base for their Saugatuck vacation. We were already planning when we will be back!
