Pictures do not do this place justice Posted: Sep 25, 2024 The Blue Whale is a beautiful and comfortable place to stay. It’s in a central location. Plenty of room. All the beds were very comfortable and had extra blankets. Tons of towels. Nice living room with a big tv. We appreciated having control of the thermostat with the hot days and cool nights of late summer in the Midwest. The backyard and front porch topped it off for us and we really enjoyed our time outside. We loved watching people go by from the front porch. And had a nice fire and enjoyed the beautiful lights at night. If we’re ever in the area again this is where we’ll stay!

Great stay @ The Blue Whale! Posted: Jul 24, 2023 Everything was as expected. The house was clean & nicely decorated. The bedrooms were all nice with comfortable beds. The master bath was nice with a walk in shower. The second bathroom was fine except the bathtub made into a shower felt claustrophobic with the shower curtain all the way around the tub. And nowhere to put your shampoo or soap. The front porch with 4 rockers and 2 additional chairs was perfect for our group of 5. Very comfortable house with lots of hooks & cubbies to put your things. Easy 10 minute walk to town with very manageable up-hill climb returning to house. The instructions for checking out were fine but we did feel the garbage could be taken care of by the clean up crew. Definitely recommend this cute house & would rent again without hesitation!

Super clean, great location.. Blue Whale Posted: May 13, 2021 This house would be excellent for a family with children or two to three couples. Plenty of beds, great kitchen and very nice yard. It’s only a couple blocks to town.. an easy walk. I would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful space and getaway Posted: Jul 14, 2019 Our family had a wonderful stay at the Blue Whale! We will definitely be back again. Everything was perfectly set up for us, check in and check out was easy. The home is beautifully decorated. It really felt like a getaway. Our only comments would be to add blackout curtains to the kids room. They found it hard to sleep in after later evenings. Otherwise fantastic! Thank you!

Wonderful experience Posted: May 18, 2018 I booked this cottage for a long weekend with the family and in-laws. All worries were relieved upon opening the front door and realizing that the photos online do not do this place justice. Newly remodeled and nicely furnished. Tall ceilings give this place the feeling that it’s even larger than it is. It rained most of the weekend so we didn’t get to take advantage of the backyard, but it looked nice. I will definitely be booking here again.

Posted: Aug 4, 2017 six of us went for our girls weekend trip & it was absolutely perfect for us. We loved the front porch to have our coffee in the morning & having 2 bathrooms was a plus for sure.. Being a house cleaner myself it was very clean so A plus for that.. We are thinking of booking it for next years trip as well.
