No beach is a big deal, but comfy units
Posted: Jul 15, 2020 |
We stayed in Chalet 92, with family staying in Chalet 91. My comments on the unit: They are all individually owned, and all different. Chalet 91 had AC units in the bedrooms AND living room, and Chalet 92 just had them in the bedrooms. That said, even though it was a very hot week, the bedroom ACs were sufficient to cool the downstairs when needed. Both have very nice screened porches, enough kitchen supplies, and 91 had beach chairs and pool noodles that we appreciated. The Wifi was good but we had nearly no cell phone signal there. Beds were comfortable enough.
The facility - This place promotes a private beach and has photos of the beach. The beach is gone - the high Lake Michigan levels have destroyed the stairs going down to it. You can get to the adjacent public beach on foot, and we did, but were lucky the public beach parking was closed due to Covid so it wasn't crowded since it's only a small beach. We rented these houses specifically for the beach.
