Hemlock Hideaway was the perfect place to get away for a weekend. It was secluded and set back from any roads so our dog had an amazing time without us worrying about her. The house itself was the perfect size, comfortable, and clean. It was also only about 15 minutes from Margaretville and anything you could need is available there (groceries, drug stores, liquor stores, etc.). Highly recommend this property.

Perfect seclusion

Our group of 6 adults fit perfectly in this cozy house nestled among mature, beautiful trees,including plenty of hemlocks - giving this cabin a fitting name. The deck was majestic in the morning as we listened to the birds sing while we sipped our coffee. We thoroughly enjoyed both the outdoor fire pit at night and the indoor fireplace on the cold mornings. Lots of hiking nearby - we took the opportunity to hike Balsam Lake Mtn and climb the fire tower. Margaretville is just 10 mins away from the home with a grocery store and some restaurants should your needs require - although you will be perfectly happy never leaving this charming home during your stay!
